Brooklyn Bridge History

Designed by John Roebling, he would pass away before construction started. The task of completing the bridge would fall to his son, Washington Roebling. Washington would become ill so the task of completing the bridge was once again passed to someone, this time to his wife, Emily. Emily would see the bridge through to completion in 1883.
