A.A Low House (Brooklyn)

The home of Abiel Abbot Low, this family originally made their money in the drug trade with his father, Seth Low, being an importer exporter of opium. When the opium wars broke out in China, A.A. Low decided to move the family out of that business and into the teas and textiles trade with China. A.A. Low's son Seth Low (named after his grandfather) would go on to be the mayor of Brooklyn as well as the Mayor of NYC.
